Conference Information
Submit a proposal to present academic scholarship for the conference.
Proposal deadline is June 1, 2024.

This is a meeting of the Lilienfeld Alliance for the Teaching of Rational Skepticism.

The one-day academic conference is held in conjunction with the 2024 CSICon meeting. Thursday, October 24, 2024, 1-5pm at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Resort and Casino. Presenters must register for LiliCon ($100). Registration for CSICon ($TBA) is encouraged but not required. Registration for LiliCon and CSICon will open by April 2024 (https://csiconference.org/).

By "rational skepticism" we refer to the practice of evaluating evidence for claims before taking a position. It generally involves investigating claims that go beyond mainstream established science, including pseudoscience, conspiracy theories, and the like. This often requires us to challenge false beliefs. In higher education, we may use rational skepticism as a form of critical thinking.

We welcome proposals from scholars from all academic disciplines who use rational skepticism in their work.
